Composer and trombonist Nick DePinna studied music at UCLA under the guidance of James W. Newton, Paul Chihara, and David Lefkowitz.

A composer of both concert and commercial music, his output is wildly diverse. While his creative focus has recently shifted toward L.A. Signal Lab, his scores for independent films and commercial music can be heard frequently on networks such as HBO, National Geographic WILD, VH-1, and CMT.  He also works for a number of Hollywood composers, orchestrating and producing music for Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Lifetime, and ABC.

Also a versatile trombonist, Nick has performed, toured, and recorded with a wide variety of groups and artists, including Kenny Burrell’s Los Angeles Jazz Orchestra Unlimited, the Brian Setzer Orchestra, Jon Jang, the Long Beach Opera, and the Pasadena Pops Orchestra.
